Bio on Patrick Scott

Hello, my name is Patrick Scott.  I was originally born in South Korea, and I was adopted from an orphange in 1985.  Ever since, I have been a resident of Southwest Missouri.  I grew up on a farm near Carthage, MO where I spent most of my summers feeding and taking care of animals, brush hogging, haying, and so on.

Now, I live in the Carthage area with my wife (Julie), and we have four awesome kids (Rylee, Eli, Ethan, & Eian).  Julie and I love spending time with our kids, working on our yard and pond, hanging out with our friends and family, volunteering at our church (Christ's Church of Oronogo), volunteering on charitable boards, and attending various sporting events for our kids.  We also enjoy fishing, hunting, and golfing.

I attended grade school and high school at College Heights Christian (CHC) in Joplin, MO, and I graduated from CHC with honors in 1997.  Then, I attended Missouri Southern State University where I graduated with a B.S.B.A in Accounting with a minor in Total Quality Management in 2001.

While attending college at MSSU, I worked part-time for Arvest Bank.  After I graduated from college in 2001, the bank offered me a full-time position.  From there, I had the opportunitity to perform multiple roles such as a Financial Sales Representative, Merchant Services, Treasury Management, Credit Analyst, Commercial Lender,  and Senior Vice President/Regional Loan Manager.  I was with Arvest for nearly 17 years, and I had the pleasure of helping businesses and people with their financial needs.  I managed a commercial loan portfolio of approximately $150 million and serviced customers ranging from publicly-traded companies, large privately-held companies, high net worth customers to small business owners.  This experience was invaluable and will allow me to service your financial needs.

Although I enjoyed my time at Arvest, my dream was to become a financial advisor and someday own my own business in the investment/financial services industry.  This dream came true in April of 2016 when I had the opportunity to purchase Heartland Financial Group from Rick Utter.

I hope you enjoyed getting to know me a little better through my biography.  If you decide to become a client of mine, please know that not only do I have a passion for helping people, but I have the experience and hold some of necessary registrations and licenses to help you with your financial needs.
